From a young age, Mike was immersed in music, starting with the mandolin at just 4 years old.
His talent quickly became evident as he performed alongside his father in bluegrass gospel
performances by the time he was 8. Mike’s interests turned to drums and guitar in high school,
which led him to play drums in the United States Coast Guard Band and Color Guard. He also
played drums for the Presidential Inauguration, and guitar for the Marshall Islands Return
Ceremony while in the US Coast Guard.
